EDITOR'S MEMO

This month, the feature topic is “Weight Management and Soft Tissue Repair”. These two work perfectly together because nothing influences soft tissue quite like excessive weight. Where does that weight go? Straight through the spine, damaging curves, and ultimately to the ground, compacting arches. Flip to page 18 for Dr. Brian Jensen’s article on “Soft Tissue Issues” to learn how tight fascial adhesions may be influencing your patient’s recovery.

Then, a familiar face to many over the years at the various seminars across the USA and the world is Dr. Rick Serola. Dr. Serola chose us to present his “Introduction to Serola Theory on Neuro-Musculo-Skeletal Integration,” beginning on page 24. Dr. Serola has invested his life in understanding the Sacroiliac joint and its effects on all sorts of bodily functions.

The influence that the microbiota and gut health have on long-term weight management is generating some exciting new insights. With his decades of Clinical Nutrition training, Dr. Guy Schenker presents his findings on the bad bug barrier to weight loss in the article “Microbiota-Driven Weight Loss,” beginning on page 28.

Finally, read on for Stephen Reardon’s insightful article on some of the business realities chiropractors face in practice. Flip to page 32 to learn how you can better serve a broader audience and attract patients in need of your services.

All this and more, as you read from the front to the back, or the back to the front, if you prefer to start on the Yellow Page! June means closing the year’s first half strong to enjoy your December close. Share your favorite articles with your friends, and thank you for all you are doing!

Until next month,
