FORMULAS THAT CONTAIN HOMEOPATHIC amounts of hormones can be utilized to help “direct” the “traffic flow” of substrates, such as pregnenolone and DHEA, that turn into male and female hormones.
In this way, they can be thought of as traffic cops who direct steroid hormones in the desired direction. In the adrenal glands, cholesterol is the substrate for the major steroid building block of pregnenolone. That is one of the major reasons that very low cholesterol is not a good thing; it is needed as the main building block for male and female steroid hormones.
On the right side of the steroid “road” or pathway, pregnenolone is made into DHEA (dehydroepiandrosterone), which can be made into testosterone and then into estrogen. On the left side of the pregnenolone “road” or pathway, pregnenolone goes to progesterone and then to cortisol.
More cortisol is produced during stress, so when pregnenolone is siphoned from the pathway, male and female hormone production suffers, and this is known as the infamous “pregnenolone steal.” When hormones are out of balance, look to this important adrenal pathway and the effects of stress).
“Think of the two sides of the pregnenolone pathway as two roads that need a traffic cop to move them in the right direction.”
Think of the two sides of the pregnenolone pathway as two roads that need a traffic cop to move them in the right direction. That traffic cop is a hormone homeopathic that can take the building block of pregnenolone and direct the steroid precursor where it needs to go, whether it be on the left side to support production of progesterone or the right side to support production of DHEA or testosterone/estrogen.
In females, hormone homeopathics that support estrogen can help direct pregnenolone into estrogen. A formula with something in its name to describe what it supports would be helpful. For instance, in the case of female support, estrogen, estro, or variations of that name, and progesterone, progest, or variations of that name can clue you in to what they support. Testosterone, andro, or something similar would denote male hormone support.
Homeopathic ingredients that are helpful support for estrogen include adrenolinum, cimicifuga, ignatia, oophorinum, sepia, and nicotinamidum, to name a few. Homeopathic ingredients that are helpful support for progesterone include oophorinum, belladonna, chelidonium, folliculinum, pulsatilla, and pituitarum, to name a few.
Homeopathic ingredients that are helpful support for the female system in general include cholesterinum, hypothalamus, adrenalinum, folliculinum, oophorinum, and pulsatilla. Homeopathic ingredients that are helpful support for testosterone and the male system in general include damiana, cholesterinum, hypothalamus, phosphoricum, and sabal, to name a few. The bioactive energy of helpful and effective hormonal support can be found in homeopathic choices.
In conclusion, there are times, especially during stress, when pregnenolone is being redirected into cortisol, and it is necessary to provide the building blocks of pregnenolone or sometimes DHEA (to get closer to the production of testosterone and estrogen). Then, as those precursors travel down their “street” or “pathway” of hormone production, adding a hormone homeopathic as the “traffic cop” will help direct the steroid precursors to where they need to go.
